The Law of Duality

Understanding the Law of Duality will greatly help you in your business and life.  The Law of Duality says that there are two sides to everything.  Another way to say it is that there are opposites of everything:

Good and Evil
Light and Darkness
Right and Left
North and South
Front and Back
Past and Future
Up and Down

This list represents only a very few of the examples of the Law of Duality.  With each side, the other would not exist.   The combination of the two is what we call reality.

Take for example a $5 bill.  If I held one up, you might see Abraham Lincoln and I would argue that I see the Lincoln Memorial, but the reality is that what we are both looking at is a $5 bill.  We are looking the SAME THING from different perspectives.

Right now you may be suffering some failure with you business, but there is another side that exists called a success.  In other words, if failure exists, so does success.  You just have to look at your apparent failure differently.  In other words, when you change the way that you see your world, your world will change.  Thomas Edison is a perfect example of this.  He suffered over 10,000 “apparent” failures when trying to create a working incandescent light blub.  However, in his view they were not failures, but over 10,000 ways that did not work.  He felt that each “failure” led him closer to the success that he was seeking.  He understood the Law of Duality.  Failure if PROOF that success exists and it’s just a matter of time before that success is discovered.  The reality is that his apparent failures led him to discover the secret of getting the filament to say lit for a long period of time.   He succeeded because he understood that if failure is present, so must success be present.  He just had to look at things differently until he discovered it.

There is a reality, that in order to succeed, failure must exist and you must experience your share of it.  The greater the apparent failure is, the greater the success.  The determining factor is; will you quit?  You will never quit if you KNOW the Law of Duality.  Because the reality is that failure means success exists and in time, if you don’t quit, you will experience this reality.  With this law in view, apparent failure should encourage you to press on, because your success is inevitable.

If there is good, there must be evil.  If there is light, there must be darkness.  If there is a left, there must be a right.  If there is a north, there must be a south.  If there is a front, there must be a back.  If there is a past, there must be a future.  If there is an up, there must be a down.  IF THERE IS FAILURE, THERE MUST BE SUCCESS.  Your success might be as simple as changing the perspective of your view of life.  Get excited when failure comes; that just means success in just around the corner.  Just be sure not to give up.  You may have to make adjustments along the way, but NEVER give up because there is a law and this law is as real as the Law of Gravity.  This amazing law, I call, the Law of Duality is awesome!

Stop Trying - Just Do It!

“I’ll try.”  How many times have you said it?  How many times have you heard other people say it?  What usually happens when you or others say, “I’ll try”?  Nothing!

If you treat your business with an “I’ll try” attitude I can pretty much assure you that you will fail.  It’s not those who “try” who succeed; it is those who “do.”  I don’t try to build my home-based business; I do it!  I made a decision long ago that I would become financially free and I work everyday to MAKE IT HAPPEN.  I have a burning desire and an attitude that I will succeed.  I choose to succeed!

Our industry is crowded with those who try.  They try this business and that business.  They try, try, try and as a result they fail, fail, fail!  When you decide to stop trying and start doing, your life will change.  Doer’s are the ones who succeed and make the world a better place.

Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Napoleon Hill, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and others didn’t try; they took action and achieved their goals by DOING.  Trier’s will continue as long as there are no obstacles, but doer’s will fight on despite the obstacles.  Doers know the principle of success.  Success comes to those who are willing to pay the price to do WHATEVER it takes despite what gets thrown in their way.  Trier’s see setbacks as a sign to stop.  Doer’s treat setbacks as a sign to charge forward.

I am sure you have heard the attitude is everything.  Attitude may not be everything, but it sure is the genesis for all major success.  If you have an attitude that, “I will try,” you are saying that you are not committed to your dream.  If you are not committed, you WILL fail.  A committed person will press on come hell or high water!

So, stop trying!  Develop and attitude of a doer and pursue your dream, overcome the obstacles until your dream (goal) becomes a reality.  Don’t try harder, stop trying altogether and start doing! Just do it!

Note:  The difference between a dream and a goal is simple.  A dream is in your head and heart.  A goal is a dream that has been written down, recorded on paper. To have a dream is wonderful, but to have a goal is better!

Simple Secret to Success

Success is not complicated.  It basically requires these things:

Start where you are.  You don’t have to wait until you are in a better position.  The important thing is that you start, and the best place to start is right now, right where you are.

Use what you have.  You have something right now that you can use to get started on your dream.  I don’t know what that is, but whatever you have, us it!  What is you gift, talent, or ability?  What do you love?  What do you hate?  The answer to these questions will help you determine what you have.  Don’t worry about getting better trained, just use what you have, now, to start.  Perfection will come later

Do what you can.  Everyday, do what you can to achieve your dream, even if it’s a little.  The important thing is to keep the momentum by doing “something” daily.  Avoid wasting time with watching the news or watching TV.  Use your time to do what you can, learn what you can, and meet who you can.

Don’t pressure yourself.  That will only slow down the process.  Rather go with the flow.  As you take action a flow will emerge.  You will meet key people, ideas will pop into your head, and you will get hunches.  When these hunches come, follow them.  Trust them.  Even go out on a limb and see what happens.  Don’t play it safe, play to win!

Finally, don’t worry about how your dream will be realized.  Just know that it will, if you follow the steps that I have outlined.  Leave “the how” it will come to you to God.
