The Tale of Two Economies

There are two ways to experience the life that God has so graciously given to us:  Toil and hoard according to the World’s economy or trust and give according to God’s economy.

The curse that God put on man after the fall due to Adam’s disobedience was that man would have to toil and sweat for everything he obtained.  The earth was cursed and would not yield a harvest without man’s effort in labor.  As a result, mankind has toiled, labored and tried to hoard whatever they could out of fear of doing without.

Mankind has trusted credit to relieve the pain of toil through instant gratification. The result is that the vast majority of American’s and others in the world have become slaves of credit.  We are enticed to buy more and made to believe that we will be able to get out of the debt cycle, but it never happens.  We cannot get out of debt as long as we keep putting things on credit.  Credit cards have become the god of the typical family on earth today.  We have been enticed to trust Visa and Master Card instead of God who is the source of all wealth.

I am happy to report that there is another economy.  We do not have to stay in the earth cursed world economy.  We can enter into God’s economy.  To enjoy God’s economy one must first stop trusting in credit, bankers, jobs or any other source of supply.  God alone is the source of all wealth.  It is He who gives power to get wealth.  When we put God first, that gives Him the permission to instruct us on how to obtain the wealth we seek.  He will not send money from Heaven, but He will give you connections to the right people and circumstances to obtain wealth.

Also, you must learn to let go of what you have.  Don’t hang on to your last dollar bill as though it can get you out of debt.  Give what you have as a seed to obtain the harvest you seek.  If you give $100, don’t expect to get $1,000 in the mail.  However, you can expect an idea or hunch that could produce thousands or even millions of dollars.  When you give to a worthy cause, such as feeding the poor, promoting the gospel, or helping someone in need you are engaging a spiritual law that says, “Give and it shall be given unto you.”  This law is a sure as gravity.  However, when you give, commit that which you give to God for His blessing.  The giving or your seed gives Him a way to multiply it.

There is so much to say about this matter, however, the purpose of this blog is to offer help to network marketers, not give Bible lessons.  I would love to let go, but maybe I will do so in another way.  As network marketers, we must learn to trust in the living God and commit our businesses and all we have to Him.  When we do so, we give Him permission to bless us.  He will not force His way into our life.  If you want to do it the toil and hoard way, He will not stop us.  But, if we want to do it His way, He will certainly bless us.

There are two economies:  The world’s cursed economy and God’s economy.  Which one will you put your trust in?  As for me and my house, we will put our faith in God’s economy.  I hope you will too.

The Magic Word

I am writing this post because I care about your financial future.  I care that you become the person and have the things in life that you desire.  I care that you can provide for your family and contribute to those less able to care for themselves.  Because I care, I want to share with you a MAGIC WORD that can change your life if you hold it in your thoughts and practice it.

Most people think that in order to have, you must get.  The masses focus on what they can get out of life.  Employees go to work to see what they can get out of their employers.  Employers do whatever they can to get every once of blood out of their employees to increase the bottom line and thus THEIR fortunes.  These people will always struggle because they do not know or practice the MAGIC WORD.

The successful do not think like this. They know the MAGIC WORD.  They memorized it.  They dream about it and, by putting this MAGIC WORD to practice, they become wealthy…extremely wealthy!  This MAGIC WORD is key to YOUR wealth as well.

It’s hard to believe that one word, if memorized and practiced, over time could make a person rich.  If you are not rich today, chances are you do not know and fully understand the value this MAGIC WORD. 

If you can put this MAGIC WORD in your vocabulary and make its practice a PRIORITY in your life I can assure you that you will be wealthy.  It is inevitable that you will experience, for REAL, what is only a dream now.

 

Well, do I have your attention?  If so, good!  The magic word is: SERVICE. 

Without SERVICE, civilization as we know it would stop, for it is based upon the act of service.  The more service a person renders, the more money they will make, it’s that simple.  If you are going through your day making the bare minimum, chances are you are offering a minimal amount of service.  Gaining wealth without service is robbery or luck, if you win a lottery.  Real wealth comes from offering more and better service than you are being paid for.

You may say that you are working hard.  However, hard work is not the key.  If you are working hard providing a service that no one wants, then you need to look at the needs of the people around you and provide a service that meets those needs.  Once you provide a service that others need and want, they will flock to you; especially if your service is outstanding.

I could go on forever regarding this topic, but I am sure you get the drift.  Our wealth is in direct proportion to the service that we render, it’s that simple.

What should you do now?  Memorize, think about, dream of, and practice SERVICE.  Consider different ways that you can provide useful service to others.  You will not get rich overnight, but in time, with consistent practice, you will start to see this MAGIC WORD work for you.  This is particularly true with network marketing.

Write this MAGIC WORD down, memorize it.  Speak it every day, several times a day.  Above all, practice and get good at practicing it.  As you do, you will become wealthy!  The world’s economy has little to do with it.  Even in a bad economy, people will still need to be served.  Your job is to find out what people need and want, then provide THAT to them.

One more thing:  When someone provided you with outstanding service; when you got more than what you expected, how did that make you feel?  Didn’t you want to tell everyone?  The person who gave more than expected was rewarded by referrals.  People talk to people and if you serve people with more than they expect, word will travel about you and your business will increase and so will you bank account!

Most people play “lip-service” to the word “service.”  But for those who actually carry it out; that is give more in value than they take in cash, they will excel greatly, no matter what the economy is.

Are YOU in a Recession?

I have decided not to participate in this recession.  I believe that you can be influenced by what the news media is dishing out and fall into a state of fear, or you can do what I am doing…trusting God!

I am participating in God’s economy.  His economy is an economy of giving and receiving.  The more you give, the more you receive.  Think about it.  If a farmer sows a single kernel of corn he gets back a whole stock of corn with several ears.  Those ears of corn contain hundreds of kernels for future sowing and reaping.

Consider an apple.  A single seed can produce a tree that contains hundreds of apples and thousands of seeds.  God has designed His creation, in such a way, that the one who sows is OVER compensated for his giving.

We live in a dog-eat-dog, competitive society that thinks that there is only so much that can be obtained.  The competitive mind believe that the pie is only so big and you have to TAKE from others to get more of what you want.

However, the mind that understands God’s law of sowing a reaping knows that there is no limit to the supply.  The supply is only limited by the sowing.  No matter what you sow, you will always reap more than what is sown. 

The fact is, we live in an abundant universe created by an abundant God.  He is so abundant that He cannot stop creating and adding to the universe.  Science has determined that this universe is expanding.  Why?  Because God is abundant and is ever-giving.  He can’t help Himself for that is who He is.  Whatever he touches grows!  He is the ultimate Giver!

Sure, you can trust in your boss, your bank, your credit cards, you parents, but I can assure you their supply will run out!  I think that has been proven already.  However, when you learn to trust in a living God who is all-sufficient and able to supply superabundantly, then you will know real abundance!  Then you will know the supply that never runs dry.  

Too many, especially in the self-improvement world, like to leave God out of the mix.  They refer to him as nature, the universe, intelligence, power, supreme thought and the like.  However, in my book, God is God.  He is my source and my supply and because of Him I will not have to participate in this “so-called” recession.  How about you?  Will you trust God to take care of you?  He will, if you ask Him!

Success starts when you recognize your true Source and acknowledge that it is God who gives us power to get wealth.  When we acknowledge Him and trust in His economy of giving to receive you will experience, what seems to be, miracles in your live. 

Do you want to participate in this recession or God’s economy?  The choice is yours.  Learn to be a giver.  Give of your time, talent, gifts, money, or whatever you can.  I assure you that your efforts will come back to you multiplied from some of the most unlikely sources.  Go ahead; give it try, you will be amazed!
