The Tale of Two Economies

There are two ways to experience the life that God has so graciously given to us:  Toil and hoard according to the World’s economy or trust and give according to God’s economy.

The curse that God put on man after the fall due to Adam’s disobedience was that man would have to toil and sweat for everything he obtained.  The earth was cursed and would not yield a harvest without man’s effort in labor.  As a result, mankind has toiled, labored and tried to hoard whatever they could out of fear of doing without.

Mankind has trusted credit to relieve the pain of toil through instant gratification. The result is that the vast majority of American’s and others in the world have become slaves of credit.  We are enticed to buy more and made to believe that we will be able to get out of the debt cycle, but it never happens.  We cannot get out of debt as long as we keep putting things on credit.  Credit cards have become the god of the typical family on earth today.  We have been enticed to trust Visa and Master Card instead of God who is the source of all wealth.

I am happy to report that there is another economy.  We do not have to stay in the earth cursed world economy.  We can enter into God’s economy.  To enjoy God’s economy one must first stop trusting in credit, bankers, jobs or any other source of supply.  God alone is the source of all wealth.  It is He who gives power to get wealth.  When we put God first, that gives Him the permission to instruct us on how to obtain the wealth we seek.  He will not send money from Heaven, but He will give you connections to the right people and circumstances to obtain wealth.

Also, you must learn to let go of what you have.  Don’t hang on to your last dollar bill as though it can get you out of debt.  Give what you have as a seed to obtain the harvest you seek.  If you give $100, don’t expect to get $1,000 in the mail.  However, you can expect an idea or hunch that could produce thousands or even millions of dollars.  When you give to a worthy cause, such as feeding the poor, promoting the gospel, or helping someone in need you are engaging a spiritual law that says, “Give and it shall be given unto you.”  This law is a sure as gravity.  However, when you give, commit that which you give to God for His blessing.  The giving or your seed gives Him a way to multiply it.

There is so much to say about this matter, however, the purpose of this blog is to offer help to network marketers, not give Bible lessons.  I would love to let go, but maybe I will do so in another way.  As network marketers, we must learn to trust in the living God and commit our businesses and all we have to Him.  When we do so, we give Him permission to bless us.  He will not force His way into our life.  If you want to do it the toil and hoard way, He will not stop us.  But, if we want to do it His way, He will certainly bless us.

There are two economies:  The world’s cursed economy and God’s economy.  Which one will you put your trust in?  As for me and my house, we will put our faith in God’s economy.  I hope you will too.

Making Money in a Recession Through Network Marketing

There is good news for you if you are in network marketing:  Your business is about to skyrocket!   When the economy is good less people are interested in income alternatives.  They rather go to work, come home and watch TV.  Even when someone gets into a MLM business in a good economy, they fizzle out due to the lack of real need.

However in a bad economy people worry.  They are afraid of losing their jobs or getting their pay reduced.  People in a bad economy are looking for alternatives and will more likely do what it takes to succeed.  Instead of watching TV they will work to build their business.

The baby boomers are getting creamed as their 401K’s, stocks, and other investments are losing anywhere from 25%-50%.  Believe me, they are going to be looking for ways to replace that income in a hurry.

This time, not only is the U.S. in a severe economical downturn, the entire world is suffering financial difficulty.  The news media is filling the airwaves with BAD NEWS.  Bad news leads to fear and fear causes people to take action.

People are in a state of fear.  When they start worrying, they quite spending money.  The psychology of fear fuels less spending and ushers in a bigger recession causing this downward trend to spiral out of control.

The answer is network marketing, which has a tendency to skyrocket in bad economic times.  People are looking for inexpensive ways to start a business in order to start making money from home.  Historically many network marketing companies have done very well in economic downturns. 

Now is the time to aggressively introduce your business opportunity to everyone you meet.  Just think, you can help someone start a business for $200-$500 that could produce financial freedom with just a few years of hard work.  What I mean by hard work is just 10-15 hours of week.  People’s minds will be open at times like these, so take advantage of it!
